Spectra Logic T-Series Mid-Range Tape Libraries. The Right Way to Scale.
Spectra Logic's mid-range tape libraries include the T200, T380 and T680 models, which all share a unified platform to provide users unrivalled economic scalability over time. By sharing a common platform mid-range T-Series libraries enable users to TranScale when they reach the limitations of their initial library hardware.
Designed with users data growth in mind, Spectra TranScale has been developed to preserve users' initial investment in storage by providing a solution that addresses both short-term and long-term storage needs as well as sudden, unexpected needs.
Spectra uses TranScale in their Mid-Range T-Series libraries by interchanging the expensive components between the T200, T380 and T680 libraries. As a user's requirements grow, they continue to use their original tape drives, power supplies, TeraPacks and media in the new library. The library frame is the only major component that changes when users are ready to upgrade to a larger T-Series library. TranScale provides a cost-effective lifetime investment in storage, allowing users to scale their hardware, software and training to make capacity upgrades quick, seamless and affordable. Like all Spectra Logic libraries each T200, T380 and T680 model support electronic Capacity on Demand (CoD) media-slot licensing, further enabling users to spread the cost of tape backup and archive solutions over time.
