Global Distribution Demonstrate the latest AV High Performance
Storage solutions at Broadcast Live 2006, including a 4Gb AV SAN, 12Gb SAS RAID and high performance, high reliability FireWire and SATA storage solutions.

As Video, Animation, and Graphics applications become ever more demanding, requiring higher storage capacities and even higher data rates to capture and edit multi-stream uncompressed SD video and even HD video, storage solutions have evolved higher capacity disk and faster interfaces to workstations.

At this Broadcast Live, Global will be showing storage solutions that range across the spectrum from entry level FireWire 800 and SATA solutions from G-Technology including the first UK showing of the GSpeed 4Gb FC and U320 Desktop Disk Array, to 4Gb Fibre Channel (FC) and 12Gb Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) RAID solutions for multi-stream uncompressed SD and HD editing. In the middle of the spectrum is AXUS Microsystems who bring a much need high performance and cost effective RAID storage solution to the market with the launch of their 16 Bay Dual Controller 3U Rackmount 4Gb FC or U320 –to- SATA II RAID solution, that is ideal for multi-steam SD video and HD uncompressed and HD 4:4:4 video.

Collaborative workflow via the use of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) are also becoming increasingly popular and are no longer the exclusive domain prestigious production companies. Global will be demonstrating a higher performance 4Gb FC SAN solution using ADTX 4Gb Storage, Qlogic 4Gb Switches, ATTO 4Gb Storage Adapters and MetaSAN cross-platform file level SAN solution. NAS solutions have leapt ahead of even 4Gb FC with the introduction of the Apace 10GbE allowing the stream of uncompressed HD over 10GbE network. The major advantage of NAS is that the solutions are completely cross-platform, and easy to integrate and manage into current IP networks.

Lastly, Global will be debuting their new CD/DVD Duplicator Robot "Armageddon". After 2 years in design the 16 bay stealth duper is by far the fastest and highest MTBF in the market with cross platform support and Firewire, eSATA or Fibre Channel interface technology to push an up to an outstanding 12Gb per second from the Host computer to the Drive towers.
