Joint iSCSI Storage solution offers industry-leading performance and flexibility at aggressive price point

NORFOLK, VIRGINIA - January 11, 2005 - Wasabi Systems Inc., a leading provider of storage software solutions, and JMR Electronics Inc., a leading manufacturer of RAID storage systems today announced a formal OEM Agreement resulting in a new product family of iSCSI storage solutions from JMR.

Wasabi Storage Builder, a proven iSCSI target solution, leverages the volume, scalability, and simplicity of standard Ethernet networking to deliver an outstanding value for storage users. Using Wasabi Storage Builder™ 1500i, JMR created a new family of iSCSI storage appliances starting at price point of under $4,000 for a 1TB solution. The appliances are immediately available and are an excellent solution for the small-to-medium business market, with scalability into enterprise applications.

Wasabi Storage Builder 1500i offers an industry-leading price / performance value, with an extensive feature set that includes:

  • Support for clustered servers using a shared iSCSI storage resource
  • Intuitive & OEM brandable Graphical User Interface (GUI)
  • Centralized disk capacity management
  • RAID 0,1, 5, 10 & 50

  • Up to 64 virtual disks and 80 iSCSI sessions per appliance
