GLYPH ANNOUNCES NEW COMPANION HARD DRIVES FOR MOTU FIREWIRE AUDIO MOTU AND GLYPH PARTNER AGAIN TO PROVIDE COMPLETE FIREWIRE AUDIO SOLUTION

ANAHEIM, CA - NAMM CONVENTION - Glyph Technologies, the leader in digital audio storage solutions, announced two new FireWire hard drive products for MOTU Digital Performer-based recording studios. The M Project Plus and M Project Dual FHS are 1u rackmountable FireWire hard drives that provide fast, reliable on-line and off-line storage for users of MOTU FireWire and PCI-based recording systems alike.

"With these new products, and others to arrive shortly, Glyph is the only company that supplies MOTU users with affordable, reliable and flexible hard disk audio storage products that cover the entire studio workflow," said Jim Cooper, MOTU's Director of Marketing. M Project Plus
M Project Plus is a 1u rack-mounted FireWire hard drive offered in one of three single-drive capacities: 40GB (gigabytes), 80GB or 120GB. In addition, M Project Plus includes a 4-port FireWire hub, making it a perfect companion for MOTU's 828 FireWire interface. Up to three 828's can be connected to an M Project Plus drive, which is then connected to the computer, for a total of 24 analog ins/outs, 6 mic inputs (with preamps), 24 channels of 24-bit ADAT optical I/O and 6 channels of S/PDIF digital I/O - all on the computer's single built-in FireWire bus. The M Project Plus ships with the 40GB 7200 rpm drive as standard, with an MSRP of $899. Pricing for other models varies, depending on the drive capacity purchased.

M Project Dual FHS
M Project Dual FHS is a 1u rack-mountable FireWire hard drive storage system with two hot-swappable drive bays, which can be filled with removable hard drives of varying capacities. The ability to hot swap drives is now available in a cost effective FireWire solution. This enables virtually unlimited storage for your projects, and makes it even easier to transport your projects between facilities. The M Project Dual FHS is equipped with two 40GB drives as standard, but is also available with dual 80GB or dual 120GB capacities - enabling a total of up to 240GB in a single unit. The M Project Dual FHS has a MAP starting at $1,559, and is available for immediate shipping.
