ATTO Technology News | Press:ATTO Technology showcases 4-Gb Fibre Channel solutions & new Mac iSCSI initiator at NAB Live demos in ATTO, Avid and partner booths Amherst, NY (April 18, 2005) – ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, introduces its latest product releases featuring 4-Gb Fibre Channel technology, the new iSCSI initiator software for Macs®, and a complete line of solutions for the content creation market at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 18-21, 2005. Featuring a collection of 4-Gb Fibre Channel solutions, ATTO showcases the following premiere products at NAB: the iPBridge™ 2700C/R/D, an iSCSI-to-Fibre Channel bridge; the Celerity FC-44ES, a quad-port Fibre Channel storage adapter with a PCI Express bus interconnect; and the FibreBridge™ 2400C/R/D, a Fibre Channel-to-SCSI bridge. ATTO’s new iSCSI initiator software for Apple® computers, Xtend SAN, also makes its debut at the show with a hands-on demonstration in the ATTO booth, located in SL2265. ATTO Xtend SAN is the first widely distributed, stand-alone application that allows Mac users to attach existing storage to an IP-based network. When coupled with an ATTO iPBridge™, Xtend SAN provides a complete solution for Macs accessing both native Fibre Channel and SCSI storage. Through this combination, IT managers in departmental data centers and small and medium-sized businesses can include Mac users in their SAN deployment while leveraging their current Ethernet network, thereby maximizing return on investment. At the Avid Developers Community, located in SL1210R, ATTO demonstrates how to add RAID data protection to existing video production environments, how to support editing multiple streams of uncompressed high-definition video, and how multiple hosts can share networked storage in an audio system. Also, look for a demonstration of ATTO’s Fibre Channel, iSCSI and SCSI technology in more than 20 partner booths on the NAB floor. About ATTO Technology Inc: |
