ATTO Introduces Celerity FC Storage Adapter Product Line –
the Next Level in Fibre Channel Storage Connectivity
Celerity sets new standards for Fibre Channel storage connectivity

Amherst, NY – February 19, 2004 - ATTO Technology, Inc., a worldwide manufacturer of Fibre Channel, IP and SCSI storage-infrastructure solutions, announces the ATTO Celerity FC Storage Adapter product line. Celerity Fibre Channel (Celerity FC) Storage Adapters take ATTO’s industry-leading technology and wrap it around industry-standard connectivity. The results are the next level in the evolution of Fibre Channel connectivity and the foundation for a revolution in storage applications. Solving tomorrow’s advanced connectivity needs today, Celerity FC offers a highly integrated family of storage adapters designed to satisfy the needs of both host systems and fabric devices. With its unique integrated, onboard hub design, Integrated Offload & Processing Center (IOPC), and Advanced Data Streaming Technology (ADS™) – the Celerity Fibre Channel Storage Adapter line provides an unsurpassed value proposition at very aggressive prices.

The new line of Celerity Fibre Channel Storage Adapters includes 2-Gigabit single-, dual-, and quad-channel adapters. They act as highly intelligent engines that bring intelligence to the edge of the fabric. Celerity FC-24XL provides four independent channels and features ATTO’s Integrated Offload & Processing Center. The IOPC provides additional processing and buffering capabilities onboard the storage adapter, significantly reducing application server CPU usage and offering a platform for additional capabilities.

Celerity FC-22XH is a dual-channel adapter that features ATTO’s unique, integrated, onboard hub design. Customers have the option of taking advantage of four external Fibre Channel ports or using the adapter as a standard dual-channel product. Users can also take advantage of the extra ports to increase the number of available connections per PCI expansion slot. In addition to providing a cost-effective connectivity option, this exclusive technology may eliminate the need for additional Fibre Channel fabric hubs or switches, simplifies the fabric design and reduces hardware costs of implementing a Storage Area Network.

The Celerity FC-21PS is a single-channel, Fibre Channel Storage Adapter that is designed as a high-quality, cost-effective choice for connecting host systems to Storage Area Networks.

The complete line of Celerity FC Storage Adapters features ATTO’s unique Advanced Data Streaming (ADS™) Technology which enables users to achieve the ultimate in I/O performance. With a combination of features that provides controlled acceleration of large and small blocks of data, ADS provides faster, smoother and more efficient transfer of data for streaming applications.

Celerity FC storage adapters offer reliable connectivity. Attention to detail in design has allowed ATTO to manufacture a product with the highest-quality signal transmission. Clean power and data signaling ensure complete transmission of data, the first time. This maximizes overall fabric bandwidth because data retransmission is practically eliminated.
